The Medical Laboratory Scientists Association of Tanzania (MeLSAT) successfully held its 39th Scientific Conference, Exhibition and Annual General Meeting from 22nd–25th September 2026 at City Park Garden, Mbeya, Tanzania, under the theme “Investing in Laboratory Science and Technology for Quality and Sustainable Laboratory Services.”
The conference brought together laboratory professionals, researchers, government representatives, industry stakeholders and partners to exchange scientific knowledge, showcase diagnostic innovations, strengthen professional collaboration and discuss strategies for improving laboratory services in Tanzania.
The event also commemorated 45 years of MeLSAT’s contribution to advancing medical laboratory science since its establishment in 1981.
